Indian medal tally swelled to 18 at Asian U20 Athletics meet up with in Dubai « Athletics Federation of India

Promising center length runner Laxita Vinod Sandilea and reduced hurdler Shreeya Rajesh received silver and bronze medals, respectively, on the penultimate working day of the 21st Asian U20 Athletics Championships getting held in Dubai. According to information reaching here, India’s over-all medal tally swelled to 18 medals, which include six gold, 7 silver and five bronze medals.

Soon after a not so encouraging early morning session, Indian athletes lifted the bar in the night session to swell the medal tally to 18, such as six gold.

Harshit Kumar claimed gold (66.70m) in men’s hammer toss, and Prateek won bronze (65.97m). The combined 4x400m relay crew gained silver with a time of 3:24.86 seconds.

Indian workforce also excelled in monitor races.
